Pro Football Focus10 Day 3 rookies to watch for in the 2022 NFL season5. CB Cobie Durant, Los Angeles RamsAnytime an established starter has high praise for a rookie, it’s worth taking notice. Durant has already earned the respect of his peers for his work this offseason. One might think that Durant coming from South Carolina State would bring about a steep learning curve, but that apparently hasn’t been the case. Durant is very much in the mold of former Ram Darious Williams at only 5-foot-10 and 180 pounds. That’s not nearly as big of an issue in Los Angeles’ scheme as it is elsewhere, though. With Williams now gone, there are snaps up for grabs at cornerback that Durant could take.
One riser, one faller from each NFL team during 2022 training campLOS ANGELES RAMS
Riser: WR TUTU ATWELL
Atwell, a 2021 second-round pick, has shown promise as a deep threat since Van Jefferson injured his knee early in training camp. He’s also shown a willingness to fight for contested catches, per Manzano.
Faller: RB DARRELL HENDERSON
Cam Akers has outplayed Henderson in training camp, and there’s increased competition at running back with rookie Kyren Williams, a fifth-round pick out of Notre Dame, off the PUP list and back at practice.
