Re. Donald contract situation, as far back as March, team was aware retirement consideration was real, and did publicly express confidence they could ultimately get number where Donald wanted it. Those have always been the stakes of the situation as it continues to play out.

At the time of that expressed confidence, team said they felt it would go much quicker than the last one - which took 18 months and a holdout. But that they felt they could get it done. That’s the context here, whether there are sticky points in between or not.
