Cooper Kupp: shoulda/woulda

There were times during the season when Stafford just flat out missed wide open receivers. This happens to every QB to an extent, but it seemed to happen too often for Stafford. Maybe he had an injury that was kept quiet. If it hadn't been for that factor, it seems clear that Kupp would have become the first to top 150 receptions and the first to top 2000 yards in a season. He came close to those amazing milestones. He would have surely gotten there if not for Stafford's struggles with errant passes. If Kupp had broken those major season records and crossed those milestones for the first time, I think that would have been enough to get him the MVP. He should be in the running, but reaching two lofty milestones for the first time in NFL history might have pushed him over the top.
