OBJ and Josh Reynolds

Ian Rapaport is saying that the Rams only started going after OBJ after they didn't get the waiver claim on Reynolds. He quoted Sean Payton as saying that everybody had a shot until LA was involved and LA only got involved at the end (after they lost out on Reynold). Coincidence?
