First off I haven't read the article yet on the athletic but I was just listening to the 11 personnel podcast, at Thursday tradition of mine and they are detailing her latest article. It sounds incredible and I am going to start reading it after this post. It is years in the making talking about the origin of the Rams defense, why Staley and what it meant for the offense and how it relates to the QB change. It sounds expansive and very interesting just a heads up. The Fangio tree ability to affect the McVay/Shannahan offense, adding in an element of the Saban college defense that hadn't made it to the NFL yet. I am very interested in how this trying to eliminate a weakness lead McVay into changing QB's. Hopefully there will be some info on why Morris as new DC and aspects bringing in and practicing against this type of defense effect the way the Rams attack it now. Gotta go read it now. I highly suggest the podcast if you aren't listening to it already.
