Stan Kroenke bought the St. Louis Rams in 2010 for a price of $750 million. The next year, Kroenke bought Arsenal F.C. for $1.1 billion. In the last decade, Kroenke’s investment of nearly $2 billion into those two franchises has now increased in valuation to $6.8 billion and Kroenke’s NFL team has passed and lapped his soccer team in total value.

According to Forbes, the LA Rams are now worth $4 billion and are tied with Manchester City as the 13th-most valuable franchise in professional sports. The Rams have seen a 176% increase in value over the last five years alone, which is by far a greater increase than any other team in Forbes’ top-40 of the list and the only team in the top-50 that surpassed that is Paris Saint-Germain, another soccer team, at 207%.

No other NFL team on this list has seen near the same growth in value as the Rams, who just wrapped up their fifth season in Los Angeles and their first in the $5 billion SoFi Stadium.

The Cowboys continue to be the most valuable team in pro sports, and therefore the NFL, but at $5.7 billion, they are within reach of the Rams in the not-so-distant future. Kroenke’s KSE holding company also owns the Denver Nuggets, Colorado Avalanche, and a number of other pro sports teams.
