Every year, we here at Football Outsiders study failed completions around the league. A failed completion is any completed pass that fails to gain 45% of needed yards on first down, 60% on second down, or 100% on third or fourth down.In 2020 (among 36 ranked QBs) Stafford ranked 12th best and Goff 13th.
They also look at defenses where, not surprisingly, the Rams were 2nd best at forcing 'failed completions.' Raheem Morris' Atlanta team were 12th.
