Leonard Fournette

February 09, 2021 04:46AM
When Leonard Fournette was available last year, I was surprised that some Rams fans were opposed to picking him up. This guy is only 26, and he has a nice combination of size, power, speed, and productivity. Like John Riggins and Emmitt Smith, Fournette is the kind of back that can carry a team to playoff victories. The Bucs were wise to pick him up, and he paid dividends for them, including in the Super Bowl. I like what the Rams have in Cam Akers, but I thought that Fournette would have also been a good option for them last year. The Bucs have another good back in Ronald Jones. One of the keys to their success in 2020 was to stockpile productive players at the skills positions. I'm hoping the Rams can do that this year by, for example, picking up a couple of receivers to complement what they already have, such as Marvin Jones from the Lions and another receiver in the draft.
