The Rams are using the same approach that George Allen used in the 1960s. Trade away draft picks for proven players. It worked for Allen with the Rams. He was one of their most successful coaches ever. Then he turned the Redskins into a winner and even got them to a Super Bowl. The Rams have had some success during the past four years with this approach, but the QB was holding them back that past two years. The only way to boldly target another Super Bowl was to make another "The Future is Now" move.
