If Stafford can ignite this Rams O? Goodness...

January 30, 2021 06:12PM
Think about it.

If, and it might be a big IF, Stafford can reignite this Rams O anywhere close to the ‘17-‘18 versions with this D?

That’s a helluva parlay for the rest of the NFC to have to deal with.

I have to assume that McVay is convinced that Stafford can execute his O in a way far beyond Goff’s capabilities. McVay knows QB’s and he knows O’s and he had obviously concluded that Goff wasn’t gonna be able to get the Rams where they want to be.

I’ll say this. McVay and his reputation are now all-in with Stafford. If he chose wisely then he will deserve reinstatement into the genius club. But if Stafford doesn’t kick butt then McVay will be a laughingstock. Particularly if Goff gets ‘fixed’. And Goff has every motivation in the world to have a good turnaround. Sooooo...

The good news is that Rams still have picks with which to restock C and Edge, maybe a development LOT, and depth at many places this year.
