The Glass is Half Full

Okay the Rams got fleeced. But hear me out....
Without Holmes going to Detroit I doubt this trade even happens. And we get 2 3rd round picks for him. So if you include Holmes, it's Goff, 2 1st rounders a 3rd and we get 2 3rds back. It fits our win now while AD and JR are in their prime.
Plus we don't know what competing offers were out there. My guess is that it quickly escalated over just a 1st and a 3rd.
On the downside, so much for the 'mobile QB' McVay was looking for. I do look for the Rams to draft a rookie QB they like. Bu now the pressure is off to draft one this year. Although I'd like to draft a QB every year (like someone on this board once said).
