Before someone shows me the exception to the rule, the rule dominates. The teams with the best D's and that don't turn the ball over win in the Playoffs.
Some of it is because experimenting is over. Every team has 16 games of film on their opponent. Offenses and Defenses are settled in. Surprise is very difficult to spring.
That is not to say that in today's game you don't need an O that can score some points. But with a top flight D, 20 - 23 points is probably enough to win most playoff games.
That will apply heavily tomorrow. If Goff doesn't throw the ball to the other team, if we can continue to run the ball effectively, if our D can continue to pressure the QB, and if Ramsey can continue to neutralize the other team's big play WR, we have a decent shot at winning. If any of these things fail to happen, GB is gonna roll over us like road kill.
