Nobody believes Russell Wilson is a bad QB. Everyone would agree he played badly the last two games. He did several good things but they were overshadowed by the turnovers.
Now, let's apply this perspective to Goff. He's had a couple bad games lately and even after this win with 300+ yards and no turnovers, many still are questioning his efficacy. The focus seems to be on his misses because the standard here has been 30+ points a game. Some are even calling for his replacement.
This thinking reminds me of 16 years ago when Warner started turning the ball over as the team was slowly deteriorating. He was eventually replaced while the guy who threw us 6 INTERCEPTIONS (Brett Favre, 2002) in the playoffs was never threatened. My point here is that Ram fans seem to be affected by National Media bias as opposed to understanding that ALL quarterbacks go through bad stretches.
With that said, I'm not blind. Sometimes Goff holds the ball too long and it results in strip sacks. Sometimes he fails to diagnose the defense. Sometimes he is inaccurate. We all feel those plays. But collectively, wouldn't you all take his play this year over all but, at most, 10 other Ram QB seasons in the last 80 years?
Perspective, my friends. It's all I ask.
