The Los Angeles Rams surprisingly moved on from Brandin Cooks by trading him to the Texans. In return, the Rams received a second-round pick in the 2020 draft, which is littered with talent at wide receiver.

There’s an abundance of wideouts who can contribute on Day 1 in this draft class, which has been called historically deep and rich with playmakers. The Rams don’t have a first-round pick to snag one of the top three receivers (CeeDee Lamb, Jerry Jeudy or Henry Ruggs), but they do have two picks each in the second and third rounds.

They could potentially trade up for one late in the first round, or stand pat and take one of the best wideouts available in the second round. Either way, they have a golden opportunity to fortify their receiving corps after trading Cooks.
