After five seasons with him as their lead running back, the Los Angeles Rams cut Todd Gurley in March and will move forward without the two-time All-Pro. The decision will thrust Darrell Henderson and Malcolm Brown into bigger roles, but the Rams aren’t done building out their backfield.
They’ll most likely select a running back in the draft, it’s just a matter of whether that’s on Day 2 or 3. They don’t have a first-round pick, and there isn’t a surefire first-rounder in this class, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t talented players to be had.
We’ve identified one running back for the Rams to target in each round of the draft. The second round was the most difficult to pick with Cam Akers and Jonathan Taylor both in consideration, too.
