ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reports former Redskins OC Kevin O'Connell is considered a "strong candidate" for the Rams' offensive coordinator position.
That would be an interesting development as head coach Sean McVay has served as his own offensive coordinator since joining the Rams in 2017. O'Connell is also being pursued for coordinator vacancies in both Cleveland and Philadelphia. A former backup quarterback for the Patriots and Jets among others, the 34-year-old O'Connell was praised for his work with rookie Dwayne Haskins in Washington this past season. He was considered for the Redskins' permanent OC position, though new coach Ron Rivera passed on him in favor of Scott Turner, who he worked with in Carolina.
