Blinkscout Game 11 Ravens beat down ...

Sooooo ... that happened.
I turned it off in the 3rd because ... self preservation.

Before I get into Rams related stuff I want to give the Ravens a round of applause for having the willingness to create an offense around Lamar and let him grow within it. That was risky and took some imagination and guts. Also Mark Ingram ... they got a steal in him. I doubt anyone beats them throughout January.

I can't see us making the playoffs ... which is a bummer but it will give us an opportunity to see who plays with pride the next 5 games. I'm a lifer. I care about dynasties. We have a young coach who loves football and a QB he can work with that "can" play at a pro bowl level.

In my feels, this feels like a super bowl loss hangover that we didn't fully recover from. We're still the team that couldn't score a TD on the biggest stage. So we're going to need an offseason to be the underdog again.


The Good

1) Looks like our young OT draftees have promise.

2) Some decent runs by Gurley.

3) Some pressures got home against Lamar.


The Bad

4) I am usually not one to complain about the refs, but they seemed to have a handful of jersey at the top of every break throwing off our rhythm.

5) I could see by what they were doing that their throwing was mainly a red zone or long 3rd down thing. Why weren't we ready for that?

6) Didn't matter who was in the backfield, we couldn't stop them.

The Ugly

7) 5 drives 5 TDs.

8) Did they run for like 280 yards?

9) Did he throw 5 TDs and only 5 incompletions?

10) Knowing we basically didn't belong on the field with them.

11) Not being ready to take shots and score points from the very beginning.

12) Thinking I need to track how many fumbles Jarod has lost because he might hit double digits.




There's a ton of good O and D line in this draft ... and some hidden gems at WR and TE and LB and RB <--- ... so we could conceivably recover with a good draft. I've seen a ton of games this year and been really judicious with my time. There's a deep talent pool all the way down and a deep top 50.
