Penalties. To me penalties are one of the biggest reasons why they didn't beat the Bengals by 25.
Consider that through 8 games the Rams:
- have 24 combined false start and holding penalties on offense (3 per game)
- have 15 combined penalties by their veteran offensive tackles (and a 16th declined)
- have been penalized 7th most overall in the NFL
- have the 6th most pre-snap penalties (false starts, off sides, delay of game, etc.)
- have 24 OL penalties after having 25 all of 2018
The Rams OL needs to run block better. But they also
really need to clean up the penalties thing....
One positive: Rams DBs have just 7 penalties this year after having 35 in 2018.
