After a rocky rookie season in 2016, Jared Goff has done about as well as the Los Angeles Rams could’ve hoped. The former No. 1 overall pick has made two Pro Bowls, led the Rams to the playoffs twice and reached the Super Bowl, all in his first three years.
The Rams have never wavered on their commitment to Goff and on Tuesday night, they put their money where their mouth is. Goff agreed to terms on a four-year, $134 million extension, which includes an NFL-record $110 million in guaranteed money.
Sean McVay has loved what he’s seen from Goff in his two years with the Rams, expressing a desire to work with the young quarterback for a long, long time. He’ll get that chance with both guys under contract together through 2023.
