Marcus Peters had a rocky first season with the Los Angeles Rams in 2018, going through peaks and valleys over the course of the 19-game stretch. He fell below expectations – both those of the team and his own – but his finish to the season was encouraging.
Though it came as no surprise, the Rams showed confidence in Peters this offseason by keeping him on the roster instead of cutting bait and saving $9.1 million. What they have yet to do, however, is commit to him long-term. This is the final year of his rookie contract, meaning he’ll become a free agent next March if he doesn’t sign an extension with the Rams beforehand.
