My pre-combine top 10s - offense

February 25, 2019 03:55PM
My pre-combine rankings, I thought I would get them out as vacation looms this weekend. You can find me at the Honda Classic this weekend and a beach every day after that. Anyhow, these lists are not finalized, as I haven't finalized any grades yet. I will after prodays. This gives you a chance to get familiar with some names and it gives me a chance to get these names out there before the combine so I can or cannot be accused of going bonkers for a pajama warrior.

QB

Really weak class this year and if I were in need of a QB, I honestly think I would punt. Murray's size is going to be the talking point of the combine. Beyond that its a bunch of guys that lack in one area or more. I think its a bunch of game managers and career clipboard holders with Murray the only one that looks truly dynamic...

1. Kyler Murray - Oklahoma - 5'-9" 185 LB.

2. Daniel Jones - Duke - 6'-5" 220 LB.

3. Dwayne Haskins - Ohio State - 6'-2" 215 LB.

4. Drew lock - Missouri - 6'-3" 225 LB.

5. Will Grier - West Virginia - 6'-3" 215 LB.

6. Clayton Thorson - Northwestern - 6'-4" 225 LB.

7. Kyle Shurmur - Vanderbilt - 6'-4" 225 LB.

8. Brett Rypien - Boise State - 6'-2" 200 LB.

9. Ryan Finley - NCST - 6'-4" 210 LB.

10. Jarrett Stidham - Auburn - 6'-2" 215 LB.

RB

Most boards will have Jacobs at the top, but I'm not so sure. This class lacks heavyweights from drafts past like Barkley, Gurley or Elliot. But there is good depth and talent here.

1. Damien Harris - Alabama - 5'-11" 215 LB.

2. Josh Jacobs - 5'-10" 215 LB.

3. Elijah Holyfield - Georgia - 5'-10" 215 LB.

4. David Montgomery - Iowa St. - 5'-11" 215 LB.

5. Devin Singletary - Florida Atlantic - 5'-9" 200LB.

6. Bryce Love - Stanford - 5'-9" 200 LB. -

7. Darrell Henderson - Memphis - 5'-9" 200 LB.

8. Myles Gaskin - Washington - 5'-9" 190 LB.

9. Benny Snell - Kentucky - 5'-10" 220 LB.

10. Bruce Anderson - NDSU - 5'-11" 205 LB.

WR

If your looking for size, you are in luck. Brown is out of the combine after a surgery, but I expect Metcalf to put on a show and if he tears it up, he certainly will be a "riser" I hope to hear how his medicals come out. Harry needs to run fast, not sure he will.

1. D.K. Metcalf - Ole Miss - 6'-3" 225 LB.

2. K'Neal Harry - Arizona State - 6'-3" 215 LB.

3. Deebo Samuel - South Carolina

4. Kelvin Harmon - NCST - 6'-3" 215 LB.

5. AJ Brown - Ole Miss- 6'-1" 220 LB.

6. Riley Ridley - Georgia - 6'-2" 200 lB.

7. Marquise Brown - Oklahoma - 5'-11" 160 LB.

8. Hakeem Butler - Iowa State - 6'-6" 225 LB.

9. JJ Arcega-Whiteside - Stanford - 6'-3" 225 LB.

10. David Sills - West Virginia - 6'-4" 205 LB.

TE

Hockenson is at the top of everyones board, but I'm not everyone. Top 3 could go first to early 2nd in a weaker draft. There is going to be some real talent in the 3rd and 4th round this year.

1. Noah Fant - Iowa - 6'-5" 240 LB.

2. Irv Smith Jr. - Alabama - 6'-3" 245 LB.

3. T.J. Hockenson - Iowa - 6'-5" 240 LB.

4. Jace Sternberger - Texas A&M - 6'-4" 250 LB.

5. Isaac Nauta - Georgia - 6'-4" 245 LB.

6. Kaden Smith - Stanford - 6'-5" 250 LB.

7. Dax Raymond - Utah - 6'-5" 250 LB.

8. Dawson Knox - Ole Miss - 6'-4" 250 LB.

9. Josh Oliver - San Jose State - 6'-5" 250 LB.

10. Drew Sample - Washington - 6'-5" 255 LB.

OT

Interesting OT draft this year, no real studs, but plenty of capable starters. I think Williams could play left, right or OG, Dillard is going to test really well for what thats worth and Ford has to show up sub-500 bills.

1. Jonah Williams - Alabama - 6'-5" 300 LB.

2. Andre Dillard - Washington State - 6'-5" 310 LB.

3. Cody Ford - Oklahoma - 6'-4" 330 LB.

4. Jawaan Taylor - Florida - 6'-5" 335 LB.

5. Daulton Risner - Kansas State - 6'-5" 310 LB.

6. Greg Little - Ole Miss - 6'-6" 325 LB.

7. David Edwards - Wisconsin - 6'-6" 320 LB.

8. Yodny Cajuste - West Virginia - 6'-5" 315 LB.

9. Max Scharping - Northern Illinois - 6'-5" 320 LB.

10. Dennis Daley - South Carolina - 6'-6" 310 LB.

IL

Really like this class. Lindstrom is a plug and play OG day 1 in any scheme. Bradbury is going to be a stud OC, esp. for a zone blocking scheme team. I'm guessing the Rams like McCoy as well.

1. Chris Lindstrom - Boston College - 6'-4" 305 LB.

2. Garrett Bradbury - NCST - 6'-3" 300 LB.

3. Michael Deiter - Wisconsin - 6'-6" 320 LB.

4. Ben Powers - Oklahoma - 6'-4" 310 LB.

5. Elgton Jenkins - Miss. State - 6'-4" 315 LB.

6. Connor McGovern - Penn St. - 6'-5" 325 LB.

7. Dru Samia - Oklahoma - 6'-5" 300 LB.

8. Erik McCoy - Texas A&M - 6'-4" 310 LB.

9. Nate Davis - North Carolina Charlotte - 6'-3" 305 LB.

10. Beau Benzschawel - Wisconsin - 6'-5" 315 LB.
