Rams need to play run first against the Saints, with gap control, just as they did against the Cowboys. That is, getting upfield quickly for the two interior guys is not the issue; protecting the inner gaps is the issue.
If they can take their running game out of the equation, then they have a better shot at winning.
Brees gets the ball out so fast that they aren't going to get to him very much unless it is on downs that they can feel confident that the Saints won't be running.
The pressure needs to be up the gut to mess with his vision as much as possible and to keep him from stepping up. The Saints are a superb screen team, so the outside pass rushers need to play screen first, and then collapse on Brees.
