Congratulations to all of us for making the NFCCG. Honestly I would have rather faced Dallas but it is fitting that the best 2 teams from the regular season will square off in the conference final.
I watched some but not all of the Dallas-Rams game. I was blown away by the Rams O-line. Holy cow. Now I've read there may have been some tells from the Dallas D that helped things but still, that was an impressive outing. I also had no idea that CJ Anderson now weighs 295 lbs. Man...
Anyway, if the Rams stay with a run-heavy approach that should make for an interesting game - Saints run D has been pretty stout all year, but I think I would rather take my chances with pressuring Goff than trying to wrestle Anderson and Gurley to the ground 30 times.
The Saints-Eagles game was very concerning in some ways but very promising in other ways. Our defense was outstanding after the 1st quarter - but we cannot spot the Rams 14 points and win. Similarly our offense was disjointed and the O-line is just not healthy - Fletcher Cox was in our backfield all the time - but we made the plays and that 12 minute drive in the 3rd quarter was incredible. I know the Rams are playing much better on D but I'm still pretty sure we can throw the ball. I'm hoping to see Marcus Peters spontaneously combust. =)
Should be an epic battle and a close game. I would feel very good about our chances if our O line was healthy but right now we've got problems. Either way it will probably come down to the final possession.
Good luck!
