Rams, Saints now tied as Super Bowl LIII favorites

For the bulk of the season, the Los Angeles Rams were the betting favorites to win Super Bowl LIII in February. They started 8-0 before losing to the New Orleans Saints, who suddenly look like they might be the best team in the league.

The Rams’ win over the Chiefs on Monday night sent a statement to the rest of the NFL, while also keeping their half-game lead over the Saints in the NFC. While they may not be the odds-on favorites to win it all anymore, they’re still at the top.


According to Bovada, the Rams and Saints are tied for the best odds in the NFL at +325. The Chiefs are close behind at +550, with the Patriots (+650) and Steelers (+900) rounding out the top five. The Bears and Chargers are tied for the sixth-best odds at +1500.

Those inside the Rams’ facility don’t pay attention to odds or who’s favored in what week, but the oddsmakers in Vegas typically know what they’re talking about. There’s no question about who the top three teams in the league are right now and there’s a good chance the Chiefs will be playing either the Rams or Saints in Atlanta for the Lombardi.
