That 1997 Marlins team cruised to a WS Title and then came the big fire sale to eliminate huge looming contracts. THAT single move KILLED the Marlins fan base. Went from sell outs, a VERY high season ticket number BEFORE the 98 season. Then came the fire sale and a entire fan base that was duped into season tickets. 20 years later, they are still trying to win over fans.
