After last year's success, I think management sees an opportunity to push all of our chips to the center of the table and create a 2-3 year window of serious contention that will coincide with the move into the new stadium and the push to sell season tickets therein.
Much as I hate to complain about having too many talented players, at some point we really are not going to be able to afford to keep all of them. I say that day comes in 2020 or 2021 when we have to pony up $35 million per year to Goff.
So in the meantime, I think we may spend a little overexuberantly and really try to put an exciting product on the field running up to the new stadium.
Long term, I just don't see any way we can keep all these stars. But the next few years should be interesting.
