I am playing for the championship and a perfect season (14-0 with a bye) in a non-PPR league this weekend. I am currently losing 25-2 but he has already played his defense, kicker and a RB and my 2 points is for being the home team in the playoffs. The projected score is my winning 102-90 if I start Goff or 100-90 if I start Bortles. Normally, if it was a toss up, I would ride the QB that got me to the finals, but that was Wentz.
Bortles has been playing well (his last four games were 20, 27, 22 and 31) and is playing SF who has given up 25, 9 (to Chicago), 24 and 21 points over the last four weeks. On the negative side one starting WR Lee is out, and the other, Hurns, is questionable. In Bortles' favor is my opponent is currently listed as playing one of Jacksonville's WRs, Westbrook, so any touchdown Westbrook scores would also get me 6 points.
Goff is playing in the cold 40s (30s wind chill) so the ball will be harder and he may over throw or have more drops than usual. Furthermore, he has not had great fantasy scores over the last four weeks (23, 16, 16, 12) and Tenn D is hit or miss over the last four weeks (4, 17, 8, 21), and over the season: they've given up less than 10 5 times and more than 35 3 times.
Bortles' scores against Arizona and Seattle (20 and 22) were better than Goff's (16 and 12). I've gone back and forth but I expect a decent performance from Goff as I think we will throw more than we did last week and I just can't trust Bortles. I will kick myself if I start him, he bombs and I lose.
So I am asking the board for advice.
