After Ogletree went out of the game and Hager went in, the Rams had some trouble defending the run for a while but that had more to do with gap responsibility again as it seemed the Rams were not taking care of gap responsibility for some reason. I noticed that at the start of the 2nd half the sideline reporter mentioned that McVay had made a comment about doing a better job on defense with the gap responsibility and it seems the Rams defense took that message to heart as they started playing the run better in the 2nd half.
Bryce Hager in my opinion did a very good job filling in for Tree. Not sure what anyone else thinks but that was my opinion that the Rams defense once the gap stuff was corrected didn't really miss a beat with Hager in there at MLB.
