Number one in the entire NFL in scoring after 7 weeks?
Had anyone predicted it would be the Rams they might have been locked up in the loony bin.
But here they sit. And it's no fluke. And as Jared Goff said after the Cards game, the offense still isn't really going yet. Too many plays left on the field. I agree. Kupp has had the dropsies lately or the Rams would be no worse than 6-1.
Clearly the lights have come on for the defense and that has a lot to do with the Rams scoring. They're getting turnovers and giving the offense the ball in good field position. And, since the Rams are more and more playing from ahead, the defense can pin their ears back and come after the QB.
So; are the Rams the best team in the NFL right now? How about in the NFC? I don't think so on either account. But they are right up there.
The Giants game looks emminantly winnable today; a game that before the year started most counted as a loss. In fact, I have little doubt that the Rams will be around 5 point favorites for that game even though it's on the road.
