Since the start of the Fisher era, the Rams have consistently played solid D and stellar Special Teams (ST). At the same time, our O was stuck in a continual rut!
Lat nights game was the opposite. Our O wa lights out, we put up 40+ for the second time in 3 games. Not quite the GSOT, but an impressive turn around so far!
The D was, for a second week in a row, not good! Outside o Hoyer's first pass, the int, he looked like a top fit QB. We give up 5 TD's to a team who had 0 in their first 2 games. Beyond frustrating!
But our Specials Team was even worse. An offsides penalty on a punt which game th 9ers a frit own and resulte in a T. A fumbled punt return on our 11 yard line! A kickof that goes out of bounds, giving them the ball at the 40. A fumbled kick return that gives them the ball on the 29, Last, but not least, not recovering an onside kick. This is an incredible ST performance from a top ST unit! Inexplicable!
I've never been so frustrated afte a win! McVay has stepped up, big time with our O, now he needs to focus on the rest of the team. He wasn't even watching the ame when th D was on the field!
