Impact of Donald missing some games versus

The Impact of Donald not being on the Rams anymore ...

That's what I'm weighing right now.

Am I bummed that he's not in camp? Absolutely.

But, I've been a rams fan for 30 years. The things that bother me get tempered by our long history of "not having elite players."

So, I'm looking at the situation differently.

1) Our defense doesn't look that bad even without he and Quinn.

2) He's the hardest worker I've seen on a football field, so when he gets back, I would expect that he's ready to go.

3) Wade Phillips will be the reason the D succeeds or fails, not Donald.

4) I think our W/L record the first half of the year will depend on our ability to score points on offense. After they figure out how we're attacking them the back half of the season, I'll be more worried about defense.

vs. the thought of losing him over money. I'd rather have him for 8 years after this crazy holdout, than freak out and lose him right now ...

Next year we can deal with the salaries of Tavon, Quinn, and Barron ... and there will be plenty for him. Why risk giving up on a once in a decade player because of the numbers game?

Let him do what he does. It's a team game, and we still have a team with him on the sidelines.
