Mychal Kendricks anyone?

PHILADELPHIA -- Eagles linebacker Mychal Kendricks told reporters Friday that he asked the team for a trade this past offseason , but obviously there was no trade to be made given that he remains on the roster as training camp begins.

Relegated to largely a part-time role in Jim Schwartz's defense as the third linebacker behind Jordan Hicks and Nigel Bradham, an argument can be made that Kendricks remains on the roster simply because of the lack of quality depth behind him.

Also, Eagles yesterday cut former 1st round pick Marcus Smith who Seattle just scooped up on a 3 year deal.
