Trumaine Johnson joins Aaron Donald as a no-show for Rams OTAsBy Alden Gonzalez
THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. -- The Los Angeles Rams have been spending organized team activities without their best defensive player.
On Tuesday, they were also without their franchise cornerback.
Trumaine Johnson joined Aaron Donald as a no-show for the fourth day of OTAs from the Rams' facility. Donald's absence was anticipated, while the star defensive tackle's representatives continue to negotiate a restructured contract with the organization. But Johnson's absence seemingly took them by surprise. The sixth-year corner is set to play under his second consecutive franchise tag, and rookie head coach Sean McVay said after practice that he is "not really sure where he was today."

OTAs are voluntary and players aren't obligated to inform the team of their whereabouts. The Rams initially chalked it up to a personal absence.
"It is voluntary, and I think that's something that's important for us to remember," McVay said. "Certainly you like it when all your guys are here, but I thought the guys that stepped up in his absence today did a nice job of competing."
