As we celebrate the New Year, I want to thank you for joining us on our historic journey in 2016. While the performance on the field did not live up to your standards or our expectations, our organization has been humbled by your overwhelming support during the past twelve months.
Since the announcement of the Rams return to Los Angeles nearly one year ago, you have welcomed us back home and created a lifetime of memories for our players, coaches and staff. I can remember fans lined up around the block for our Draft party at L.A. Live. I can still feel the sting of the eager high-fives as you streamed into the first training camp practice at UC Irvine. I can see the smiles on both the kids’ and players’ faces at the inaugural “Night for Wishes” benefiting Make-A-Wish Foundation of Greater Los Angeles. I can smell the barbecues in Lot 6 before the Cowboys game marking our return to the Coliseum. I can hear the roar when Alec Ogletree forced the fumble that sealed the victory over the Seahawks in our first regular season game in Los Angeles in 22 years. Together, we made history.

Today marks the beginning of an offseason that is dedicated to building a football team that makes Los Angeles proud. This morning, we began sending requests to interview assistant coaches throughout the NFL for our head coaching position and we expect to begin those interviews tomorrow morning. Our plan is to evaluate potential candidates with all types of backgrounds – offensive backgrounds, defensive backgrounds and college candidates as well. We will find the best head coach for the Los Angeles Rams who will help us achieve our mission of celebrating a Super Bowl title with all of you. In an effort to keep you informed on the search, we will cover the process with exclusive content on TheRams.com, and on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.

And our work doesn’t stop there. We also will spend the upcoming months building on our charitable efforts that saw us engage with more than 50 local non-profits, including 192 community appearances by players, in our first season back home. Through our monthly Staff Day of Service program, Rams employees provided nearly 1,200 hours of service, impacting 10 local non-profits and 19 schools. In 2017, we will continue to use the power of football to make Los Angeles a better community.

In addition, we are focused on how we can improve the gameday experience for you and your guests. In the coming weeks, our member services team will reach out to you directly for feedback on how to make your time at Rams games better, both in the short-term and also as we develop a gameday experience at Hollywood Park that will be unparalleled.

Walking out of the Coliseum last night I had the chance to speak with many of you who shared similar sentiments – you were thrilled to have your Los Angeles Rams home, you were disappointed by our season but you are optimistic about the future and the offseason ahead. I’m so grateful for your passion for the Rams and we will deliver to you the team you deserve. We are committed to building a franchise, on and off the field, that represents the best of Los Angeles, and our work for 2017 and beyond begins today.
