been following the draft/free agent money for a long time..seems like forever the Rams needs and the depth at the draft never matched up and Bradford's contract with then poor player decisions they never had money to spend on good free agents
this year is shaping up perfectly..great wr's in the 2nd rd, G Rob to guard, great year for free agent olinemen with money to spend, solid 3rd rd developmental LT's, big fast developmental te's and a couple Jordan Reed h-back types likely there in 3rd...
believe both depth at fs and cb has improved with Mike Jordan and Blake Countess. IMO both are keepers. Jordan has the highest run grade off all cb's this yea per pff and has the brains and size for fs which he played in college and still think he has starter ability at cb..Countess really flashed in his one game and and adds more solid slot/fs depth..also elite sparq
Snead has been fighting the draft every year he's been here...been forcing picks a rd or two earlier based of need...IMO any decent GM should hit a home run this year for the Rams.....
at wr absolutely love Dede Westbrook (DeSean Jackson), Carlos Henderson(Steve Smith), Cooper Kupp( a poor mans Jerry Rice) and
Jamari Staples ..all likely 2nd rd picks. Adam Bisnowaty and Julien Davenport as 3rd rd development LT's...

add love the deep reserves on the Rams..Pace Murphy has elite short times for an LT not just for an OT, brains, power...and scored a
very solid 74 in ten snaps last week...Countess, Jordan, Mike Thomas, Hemingway, Green, Spruce, Brian Randolph, Forrest, Higbee, Bryan Williams, Marquez North, Kevin Peterson, Mannion ..maybe not of a lot of quality starters but solid depth guys for next year...I'd take Pace Murphy over the 2 ot's starting for AZ today. gave the Rams an A grade after the draft because of those later rd guys.
people get way too caught up on Goff...if the Rams hire the right HC/GM this team could easily make the playoffs next year.
I've seen enough that I would hire Fassel as the next HC... see posters wanting policy wonks(OC/DC)types..or x head coaches that failed elsewhere...A policy wonk has as much training in being a HC as that 40 year old fat lady with the huge red hair that cuts my wife's hair..zero
what you have to have is a born leader....and Fassel exudes it...fun study leadership.. like Justice Potter on porn, "I know it when I see it" I see natural leadership skills in Fassel..hire him and let him hire a couple good policy wonks .
