posted he was a brutal pick for the Rams when he was drafted..zero 2nd rd value, guys like him are a dime a dozen and should only be drafted in the 4th/5th rd
his 6 year grades per pff 53, 74.1, 68, 69.6, 50.4 and 59.2...grades yearly as a below avg to poor player
37 out of 63 te's this year
53rd out of 63 as a run blocker..
lowest graded te last week per focus
Tight end: Lance Kendricks, Los Angeles Rams,
36.6Lance Kendricks didn’t play a huge amount of snaps, but he was far from good when actually on the field. In the receiving game, he caught just two of five passes thrown at him for 13 yards, while chipping in on the Rams’ receiving issue by dropping one target. He also graded below-average in both run- and pass-blocking.
too small at 6'3 245 to be a good inline blocker(only good blocking grades when he played h-back) and lacks the skills to be solid receiver ..basically a coach killer..good enough to start if you want to lose.
his contract helped the Rams lose Jenkins..hard worker, smart kid just lacks size and talent....that sort of matters..didn't care much for Higbee when he was drafted but he should start over Kendricks and Hemingway should play. Harkey grades as one of the best fullbacks and should get more snaps as a blocking te.. lot of good te's next year. Engram is a difference maker..Howard and Butts are special.
Joe Vitt tells the story when he coached with Belichick..Vitt was starting a D player similar in skill to Kendricks over a more skilled rookie..just a safe player till Belichick walked up and told him he just cut the vet and said "start the rook" Belichick gets it. time to get rid of the coach killer
