On that last play

Yes, it was almost comical to see.
But the Rams did not lose this game on that play.
They lost that game long before and it was a total team effort.
From the HC down to the players.
So many mistakes all around. With the exception of the punter and the kicker this team once again was in selfdestruct mode from the time they went up 10 -O.

Having said that:
I dont like how Quick now is made out to be the scapegoat for this loss.
Yes, he obviously did not get the audible. Seems to be pretty clear judging from the video.

But:
The play change and the acutal play selection in that situation was horrible to begin with and that is on the QB.
They had the under play called and it was the right call against the blitz the Giants were bringing.

Plus Quick was open on his route. Wide open and if CK does not see his WR is running the wrong route but nevertheless is wide open for a good gain that IMHO the mistake is still-at least partly- on the QB.

The way Fisher is throwing Quick and the entire WR unit under the bus after this game only to make excuses for his hand picked QB (who made a ton of bad to horrible decisions and throws in this game alone) IMHO is poor coaching. Very poor.

Go RAms!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
