Monday Wrap-Up: Coming Home to Face the Bills

After starting out by playing three NFC West teams in their first four games, Los Angeles will now play opponents from outside their division — and their conference — for the next nine matchups. That starts on Sunday as the Bills (2-2) make a trip to the West Coast.

“We’re out of the division now and we’re going to be out of the division for a while,” head coach Jeff Fisher said at his Monday press conference. “So now we have to learn how to win on the road, learn how to win against uncommon opponents. And that’s a challenge.”

In reviewing Sunday’s 17-13 victory over the Cardinals, Fisher said he noticed plenty of room for improvement both offensively and defensively.

“Too many big plays defensively — struggles versus the run,” Fisher said. “Same thing — lack of a run game, offensively. And then just an inability to go get points when we got around midfield.”

Arizona’s defensive game plan certainly had a lot to do with the Rams only garnering 41 yards on the ground, with running back Todd Gurley rushing 19 times for just 33 yards.
