In watching the game on Sunday it has become very clear to me that those complaining about Keenum's arm are dead on the money right.
While he is very competent and a good field general his arm betrays him greatly.
Two examples of where his arm cost the Rams touchdowns on Sunday are as follows.
1. Lance Kendricks getting behind the defense for a long gainer down to the 4 yard line. If that pass has more zip on it there is no doubt in my view that Kendricks scores.
2. Same series down by the goal line. The pass to Kenny Britt. if that ball is thrown sooner and on time Britt scores instead of the pass being incomplete.
There was another pass where I believe it was Austin was open down in the redzone in the 1st quarter and Keenum over threw him badly.
You can't beat Keenum for his knowledge and leadership and competency but his arm betrays him. You probably as a head coach have to start Case next week but the writing is pretty clear now. He's going to be replaced by Goff at somepoint this season. Much of that depends on Goff getting up to speed and being able to run the offense and manage the offense effectively. Its not all about passing.
