This is not about how the move eventually turns out, nobody knows.
But I have a lot of respect for the Vikings realizing several factors and acting on them.
- They're opening a brand new shiny and expensive stadium
- Its about proper marketing and selling hope to your fan base
- The Vikings know that they had no hope with Shaun Hill at qb
- They were a fg away from advancing to the second rd of the playoffs last season
- Their best player is in the twilight of his career
- They realize windows in the NFL don't remain open long
- Sam Bradford was the only starting caliber qb available
- Sam Bradford in a Norv Turner offense will be fine. (He doesn't ask much)
- They had extra draft picks that they received from Miami
So all things considered I applaud them for the move.
I applaud them for doing something drastic to take advantage of their window.
Many times I have wished for the Rams to do the same.
Best,
Laram
