1. DE Matt Longacre- every game this kid is making plays and working his tail off. Quickly becoming a favorite for me. The pass rush drop-off last year when Quinn got hurt was
very noticeable. The Rams front four is obviously very good but the depth is really outstanding and Longacre is part of that. I hope he gets some reps come regular season.
2. TE Tyle Higbee- Physical mismatches galore with this guy. Excellent hands. Not a bad blocker already (he's already noticeably better than Cook ever was). Love that they have split him out in the slot and wide the way New England does with Gronkowski. I think he'll combine with Kendricks to be a very nice TE duo.
3. WR Nelson Spruce- only saw him in one game but I think the kid has it. Good possession receivers are so valuable and he knows how to find the 1st down marker and has great hands. He may not catch a lot of balls as a rookie but when he does I think he'll make them count. I could see him being a 25-30 catch receiver for them this year.
4. QB Case Keenum- everyone has been wishing and pulling for Goff to win the week 1 job, including me. But we should give some credit to Keenum for being good enough to earn the job right now. He has a 111.1 QB rating this preseason. Yes it's just preseason but it's 10th in the league this preseason and 5th among QBs that have 20+ attempts. It's also worth noting that that's about 30 points above Foles' rating last preseason. Plays with confidence.
5. RB Malcolm Brown- not sure if this kid gets any work once the bullets start flying in September but he's shown he can play. A "heavy runner" as Marshall Faulk described him in week 2. Gives the Rams really good depth at RB.
