I was listening to "The Fast Lane" about an hour ago and D'Marco Farr announced he is leaving 101 ESPN and that he'll be joining the Rams broadcast team in Los Angeles. He explained that for the past two months, he has not been in the St Louis studio with his broadcast buddies: Randy Karriker and Brian Thompson. He's been on the air, but physically... he's been in Los Angeles. He thanked the radio producers and his colleagues for being understanding while he dealt with some family health issues. D'Marco said he knew that people would automatically assume that his going to Los Angeles has to do with the Rams move there, but he said that wasn't true. He said he and his wife have been dealing with a family health issue that has required them to be in Los Angeles lately. He said it has been extremely difficult to deal with, and after all this time, they realize that they just need to be there in order to see after their family member. He said "it's just where life has taken us right now". His voice got a little shaky. He and Randy Karriker have been together on the air for over 7 years and it's probably hard to say goodbye.
D'Marco said that today would be his last broadcast in St Louis.
