This morning. He was in our local Safeway grocery store (Aptos, CA). I had actually met him ever so briefly getting coffee at Stanford (Jimmy V's - a different Jimmy V) a few times when I took a class there last year. He actually remembered me. I congratulated him on his success at Stanford, his new contract extension. Told him that Christian McCafferty was a BEAST! But, sad to say, and it kills me, I had a perfect opportunity to ask him what he thought of Jared Goff. Given he had to game plan for him during the 4 years he was at Cal, but I didn't! Dang!!! So mad at myself, oh well. For a Stanford guy, he's pretty cool.
