Re: A few Covid restriction questions for y’all...

Why is it okay to lie on the beach upon wet sand while dry sand is deemed too dangerous and therefore forbidden?
I did read that they want people to keep moving on the beach, not to hunker down and lay out or sit all day, so people do that in the dry sand, so, no dry sand.. Legal to be in the water and wet sand, just not dry sand - you gotta keep moving.. Don't crucify the messenger - its what I read..

Why is it okay to have a Memorial Day celebration of up to 50 people but only 10 are allowed to worship together?
Maybe an indoor/outdoors thing?

Why is it okay to shop at a Costco but not at a local small business?
I kind of believe deep down maybe this has something to do with big business pushing out the little mom and pop shops.. its my own theory. Either that, or with big corporations they can regulate things easier, such as cleaning and hours and whatnot..

Why are weed shops and liquor stores considered essential but barbers and hairdressers not allowed.
Have you ever tried to take alcohol away from a drunk in Texas? And kept both hands? People who are addicted to either would be difficult to deal with - thata a guess

Why is Home Depot allowed to open but NOT allowed to sell vegetable seeds and paint?
No idea.. I just bought grass seed.. maybe they feel the virus can mutate through plants? They don't want people sniffing paint all day? This one is way over my pay scale

Why are religious services while in one’s own car at a drive in considered unsafe and disallowed?
Again, I read that all theaters are closed with no exceptions and drive in theaters are considered theaters.. Falls under a play on words, imo.. Then again, why is it illegal to have wire cutters in your back pocket in Texas? I know the answer - no idea why this rule is still in the books..

I have no idea why anyone is doing anything right now.. Not a lot of it makes sense is traditional sense.. I get it - flatten the curve.. but, to me I don't understand some of the rules being outlined.. Today our bars and restaurants open, but only at 25% capacity.. So, what? They go by the fire code safety capacity number, divide by 4 and allow that many people in at once? Why? what's one more person? Or ten for that matter? And patrons only get an hour and a half in the bar.. so, here's a bunch of drunks and you're gonna kick them out at 10pm because they've been in teh bar 1.5 hours on the dot? While you have people lined up outside waiting to get in, surely standing 6 feet apart? Its just stupid, imo.. I'm sure they can expect the drunks to stay 6 feet apart.. Every try to pick up a chick from 6 feet away? VERY few of us can actually do it..
