For the past couple of years I've put my Christmas tree up the weekend before Thanksgiving. Yeah it's a little early but it gives me another week to enjoy it. When my grandson came over this morning he saw the tree and had been in awe ever since. I have 4 ornaments with lights and motion that I hang at his level so he can see and touch them. Some ornaments I've had for over 30 years and represent something from my life: sports, education, family, travel, pets, weddings, music, military and more. I had a Balsam Hill pre-lit tree that I threw away 3 years ago because when a string of lights go out the tree is screwed. Besides, Balsam Hill trees are over-rated. The tree i have now is not pre-lit and I have to string the lights myself but I prefer it that way. It's so much easier to deal with if the lights don't work. I love my tree.
