Our local smooth jazz radio station died... then the 'many' jazz concerts in my area began to ebb... then all but disappeared. We get the occasional group or individual coming thru, usually around this time of year... but for the most part jazz has all but disappeared.
Do I miss it? you bet, passionately. To this day however, and I believe forever more, when I need a 'pick me up' I fire up my smooth jazz playlist and for a while all is right in the world once again.
Like you I saw Fourplay many times. Dave Koz continues his Christmas tour but doesn't come to Fresno any more... he IS playing in Stockton, about 2 hours from me, and I'm thinking about it. - jamesJM
