That's what I'm looking at... a long one day's drive. 16 hours.
Making friends, learning about people from other cities, states, countries.... you bet... experience away from home. It's a huge step... and one I support 100%.... but it still hurts like hell.
He's not a very social person... and I don't mean 'unsocial', he's VERY personable... I mean he's a lot like me. He likes his solo time... and it doesn't depress him, doesn't leave him feeling alone. Not sure how that's going to work so far from home... we'll see. It's one thing to like being to yourself when you're close to loved ones, an entirely different thing when you're half way across the country.
Without question I'll make one, perhaps two solo trip to watch him play, spend the weekend with him. Might even make the trip a motorcycle journey. - JamesJM
