Folk rock and folk music

You guys here know a lot about many of the bands I've never heard of. I'm wondering if any of you ever heard of singer named Harry Chapin? He sang a lot of folk and folk rock throughout the 70s. Once read an article that advised every father to make sure when their son becomes an adolescent to listen to his music. He is one of my favorite artists. Most of his songs are stories about what most of us have gone through (ups and downs) in becoming young men.
