I can't give a detailed list of examples like you just did, but I felt the same way after watching the StL Cardinals in their opener against the Mets yesterday. In the pre-season power rankings, the Cardinals were ranked #8. The Cards struck out 15 times and lost 8-4. One of our ace pitchers, Carlos Martinez, was as eratic as ever and only pitched 4 innings before they pulled him. The Cards looked like the same fustratingly error-prone team I saw last year that didn't even sniff the playoffs. They still have 161 games to play so I know it's way early to be making predictions, but they did not impress. Hopefully they'll get it together soon.
