The store near me (Orange Park Mall) is actually a clean and nice store It just seems like a ghost town. Even the Lawn / Tool Dept had just one person there. I remember there we're 3-4 employees in that area. I saw MAYBE 5 shoppers in the entire store. The nostalgic part of me hopes it can rebound. My Dad worked for Sears from 1960-2000..FORTY years! I recall when Sears was THE place to shop. I LOVED theri Toy Dept before Christmas. Not to mention, my Dad could bring my Brother and I a Wish Book BEFORE the regular public could get them. There was also the back to school shopping...TOUGHSKINS!!!!!!! I have lots of memories that involve Sears but I'm afraid they are toast. Sad to see. Dad told me 20 + years ago, they quit caring about the Employees AND customers / customer service and became BIG TIME pushy with having people get credit cards or buy a maintenance agreement for a $20 radio. It annoyed the hell out of Dad....and his co workers.
